Forget the gym; forget the housework. Parents prefer to go cyber shopping.

Parents would prefer to spend time shopping online than exercising or doing housework a survey by Hipp Organic has revealed. 57% said they’d rather spend pounds shopping online than lose pounds at the gym. Parents would prefer to spend time shopping online than exercising or doing housework a survey by Hipp Organic has revealed. 57% said they’d rather spend pounds shopping online than lose pounds at the gym. And 77% would rather shop online than tackle the housework the survey revealed.

Nine out of ten parents have shopped online for goods for their baby. “Parents are more cash rich and time poor than at any other time in history; and so being able to do their shopping online is convenient – saving hours a week” comments Samantha Mort at Hipp Organic. 47% of parents believe that shopping online saves them one to two hours per week; and 4% save a staggering 5 to 10 hours a week; with convenience being the number one reason for preferring to shop on the internet.

The most common items parents buy online for their baby are toys (20%), clothes (19%) and buggies (10%). 43% of respondents stated that they were considering buying baby food from Hipp Organic’s online store where parents can pick up a selection of their favourite organic baby food products. Samantha Mort adds “The Hipp online store has been created to enable parents to buy some of our products by the case. Items such as baby milks or cereals are often bulky and heavy to carry; so having them delivered straight to your doorstep involves minimal effort which all parents will appreciate.”

However; our desire for technology is making us increasingly anti-social with 20% of respondents saying that they’d rather shop online than go out shopping with friends; 12% said they’d rather shop online than speak to their partner; whilst 26% said that they’d rather shop on the internet than make more babies….
