Low salt soups for
toddlers – hearty and healthy meal choices from
HiPP Organic
April 2005
Toddlers can now enjoy creamy and nutritious soups from
HiPP Organic. Each jar contains less than half the salt
content of standard adult soups, making them a healthier
organic option for older babies.
95% of mums use ready prepared toddler meals at least
once a week research conducted by HiPP Organic in conjunction
with Tesco Baby Club1 has revealed. “Today’s
busy mums are looking for quality and convenience when
feeding their growing baby, as well as the correct nutritional
balance” says Samantha Mort, Communications Manager
at HiPP. “HiPP’s recipes contain only the finest
quality organic ingredients, which is an added reassurance
for mums”.
The Food Standards Agency recommends no more than 1g of
salt per day for children aged 7-12 months and 2g salt
per day for 1-3 year olds2. HiPP Organic recipes contain
salt levels well within these guidelines.
“Mum’s always look for new and innovative
recipes with which to feed their toddlers, and we think
that HiPP’s toddler soups with the right balance
of nutrients, make an ideal option for lunch or tea time”.
HiPP Organic Toddler Soups are available in ‘Creamy
Tomato’ and ‘Cream of Carrot’ varieties,
and cost 99p each from all good supermarkets
