Week 40

Your baby

• Your baby is ready for the outside world, although may seem to be in no hurry to get to it!
• Some babies are born with a full head of hair (up to 5cm or 2 inches long); others may be bald
• Your baby’s bound to be beautiful!

When is the baby going to come?

Sorry, but it may be another week or two. In some areas they’ll induce you when you are one week overdue and others wait until two weeks past your due date.

Who will the baby look like? Will it be a boy or girl (or do you know already?). Dark or fair? You’ve probably picked out your names already, but stay a little flexible - your baby may not look like a Ruby, more like a Poppy!
