Simple baked apple

Posted by: HiPP Organic / Serves: 1

Ingredients

  • 1 cooking apple cored
  • 50ml apple juice of water
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • A little unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon raisins

How to make it

Prick the apple skin all over with a fork to stop the skin splitting. Put the apple in an ovenproof dish and stuff the core with the raisins before drizzling with maple syrup. Top with a knob of butter. Pour the apple juice or water into the dish and then bake in the oven at 180°C /gas mark 4 for about 45 minutes until tender. When baked, scoop out the apple flesh and raisins, and serve. Also delicious with ice cream, plain yogurt or custard!

Portion sizes will vary according to your baby’s age and appetite so adjust the amounts used accordingly.
