Why choose HiPP Organic follow on milk?

First Days | Development |

Follow on milk is designed to complement a baby’s weaning diet from the age of 6 months onwards if they are not being breastfed, and is made with added vitamins A, C, D and iron (which contribute to the normal function of the immune system).

But with so many brands available, how do you decide which one is right for your baby?

Sometimes the clue is in the name. If you’re looking for an organic baby formula, our follow on milk is an easy eco choice. Specially made with tiny tummies in mind – and the environment – our milks contain gentle* organic ingredients, including organic milk, organic GOS and organic lactose.

We’re super fussy with our ingredients, only choosing the best milk, sourced from farmers we know and trust.

We’re really careful in our production processes too, applying the strictest hygiene and safety standards. We go above and beyond EU organic standards, testing to the strictest possible levels to ensure purity and quality. And all of our milks meet the strict EU nutrition and composition regulations. No wonder we’re the No.1 organic follow on milk in the UK.

But organic’s not just in our name. It’s in our nature. We’re big on sustainability, animal welfare and biodiversity.

We believe all the little things we do to support the natural world make a big difference to each of us. We care for our cows like members of the family; we only feed them an organic diet, free of GM ingredients, chemicals and pesticides. We also choose farming methods and practices that best protect our species, and our environment.

“The philosophy of our company focuses on the conservation of nature, the respectful treatment of nature’s precious resources, and protection of biodiversity with good reason.” Claus Hipp, organic farming pioneer.

We also care a lot about the way HiPP Organic products are transported from our home to yours. That’s why we always use sustainable packaging materials, plant based inks on our boxes and carbon neutral production. We are committed to making all of our packs fully recyclable by 2025.

Picking a new product can be tricky - especially with the overwhelming choice that awaits you in the supermarket baby aisle! But hopefully, you’ll now have a good understanding of what we stand for and what our follow on milk can offer your little one – and the world they live in.

*Gentler because no chemical pesticides are used on the pastures where our cows graze.

Important notice: Breastfeeding is best for babies. It is important that you eat a healthy, well-balanced diet if you are breastfeeding your baby. The Department of Health recommends exclusive breastfeeding until 6 months. Some babies may need to start weaning before this age, but no solids should be given before 4 months (17 weeks) as this could be harmful, and if looking to start before 6 months then please speak to a healthcare professional first. You can continue to breastfeed even when weaning begins – once you stop, it’s difficult to start again. Partial bottle-feeding with a formula milk may reduce the supply of your breast milk. For good advice on breastfeeding and weaning, based on your baby’s specific growth and developmental needs, we suggest you talk to your health visitor or other health professional.
