Hi I’m Charlie and I am the founder of Bumps and Burpees - the online fitness platform for pregnancy and post birth. I am a fully qualified personal trainer and decided to specialise in pre and post natal fitness in 2014 as I wanted women to feel safe and supported during such an important stage of their life. For many women it can be a time of anxiety - ‘is exercise safe?’ or feeling less able or inclined to exercise in the way in which they are used to. From one to one personal training I soon began to understand that creating a community where women could share their experiences whilst motivating each other to move and enjoy fitness during pregnancy, would lead to empowered and energised birthing experiences. It was important to me that as many women as possible could access affordable and specific fitness for pregnancy and early motherhood. The online fitness club began in 2021. I am a mum of 2 boys, Alfie (2 yrs) and Barney (6 months). Whilst being a mum is fantastic, I really understand that physical and emotional strength is often required to get you through the day. Looking after yourself as well as your baby is a big part of my philosophy on motherhood. Learning how to keep fit and healthy as a new mum can feel intimidating but I hope to guide and motivate you when you need it.
