About the variety

In our HiPP Organic products, we use the organic broccoli varieties Lord, Steel and Covina. HiPP consciously avoids the cultivation of varieties that have been developed using CMS (Cytoplasmic Male Sterility) technology. Since the emergence of this technology, conventional broccoli cultivation has practically ceased to exist. This has led to the disappearance of certain varieties from the market, which limits consumer choice. HiPP also works closely with suppliers of organic seeds to obtain more high-quality varieties for organic farming in the future.
