About the origin

HiPP Organic sour cherry trees are resilient and don’t require much attention. They don’t mind harsher conditions at high altitudes, heat or frost. However, they don’t thrive in heavy and poorly ventilated soils and heavy rainfall. Both their habitat as well as the weather conditions have a strong influence on the ripening period. In spring (from April to May), the sour cherry trees bloom. This happens about one to two weeks later than with sweet cherries. Our HiPP Organic sour cherries grow in Turkey and in Serbia. As they are rather delicate and cannot be stored, they are processed immediately after harvesting.
