Ireland lies in the Atlantic Ocean and is part of the European continent. It comprises mostly lowlands, which stretch from west to east and are covered by numerous lakes and large moors. Large mountains provide natural confinement. Because more than half of the country is meadows and pastures, it carries the fitting nickname “The Emerald Isle”. The HiPP Organic cattle feel especially at home here. They are able to spend nearly the whole year outdoors in the countryside because the balanced island climate in Ireland means cool summers and mild winters. In addition, there is a large amount of rainfall, which can be as much as 3,600 mm per year and contributes to the greenness of the island.
