Slovakia

Slovakia is landlocked and lies in eastern Central Europe. The country is characterised by the mountains of the Western Carpathians with its many valleys and basins. Wide plains can only be found in the east and southwest. The sub continental climate in Slovakia means warm summers and cold winters. Depending on the region, yearly precipitation ranges between 600 mm and 2,000 mm. Only the lower regions of Slovakia are suitable for farming. Here, grains, hops and also HiPP Organic potatoes are grown.
