Turkey
The special thing about Turkey is that it lies on two continents: Europe and Asia. The European part only takes up three percent of the entire country and consists of low range mountains with valleys. The Asian part, called Anatolia, is confined to the north and the south by high mountains. Due to its size and geographical layout, Turkey has different climatic zones. They range from a continental steppe climate with little precipitation in the centre of the Anatolian highlands, to the Mediterranean climate at the coasts. This means that the vegetation in Turkey is also very diverse and provides a wide range of farming possibilities. Depending on the region, raw products are grown on about one third of the country, including the HiPP Organic tomatoes and organic pears.
