India

India is a country in Southeast Asia and is characterised by a very diverse landscape: high mountain ranges with broad valleys can be found in the north. In the south the land drops down to fertile alluvial land from east to west. This is also where numerous rivers such as the Ganges flow. The climate in India is tropical to subtropical and is characterised by the monsoon. Some years the heavy rainfall leads to extreme flooding. In other years there is so little rain that many parts of the country face drought. Agricultural areas are mostly to be found in the fertile plains, but numerous fruits also grow in the tropical rainforests in the south, such as the HiPP Organic mangoes.
