Mali

Mali lies in the west of Africa and has no access to the sea. About two thirds of the country is desert or semi-desert. This makes it a very dry country. The north of Mali is mostly flat, mountains can be found in the east. The Niger River, with its many tributaries, flows through the south, making this area a wetland savannah. Mali still has three different climate zones: hot desert climate in the north, warm Sahel climate in the centre, and Sudan climate in the south. The vegetation in the country corresponds to each climate and ranges from full desert in the north to wetland savannah in the utmost south. This is the only area where farming is possible and where HiPP can grow organic mangoes.
