Colombia

Colombia lies in the northwest of South America and borders on the Pacific to the west as well as the Caribbean Sea to the north. The country is characterised by the Andes in the west and the lowlands in the east and the south. The Andes are streaked by long valleys, which are irrigated by three large rivers. The lowland with its wet savannahs and tropical rainforests takes up over half of the country’s area. The climate in Colombia is influenced by the inner tropics. The low fluctuation in temperature and widely varying amounts of precipitation are characteristic of the country. The Pacific coast and the south of the eastern lowlands are covered by tropical rainforests and offer a natural habitat to a wide diversity of plants. HiPP Organic mangoes also find optimal conditions for growing here.
