About the origin

HiPP Organic onions thrive particularly well in soils that are rich in humus and nutrients, and which also have a high water retention capacity. They love warm, summer weather and need lots of light during the main growing period. They also like sites that are exposed to wind. Our HiPP Organic onions come from Germany, Poland and Turkey. For high yields, onions need sufficient amounts of water, especially in the last third of the ripening period. Harvesting starts as soon as the green foliage of two thirds of the organic onions has fallen over.
