Italy

Italy lies in the south of Europe and, due to it being shaped like a boot, is easily recognisable on any map. Climatically, Italy is divided into two zones: the Alpine region with a humid summer climate, where there is often heavy rainfall in spring and autumn, mild winters and hot summers. In comparison, southern Italy, including Sardinia and Sicily and other smaller Mediterranean islands, is characterised by a Mediterranean, dry summer climate. Over 50 percent of the country is farming land, predominantly the lowlands around the Po River. HiPP gets its HiPP Organic tomatoes, HiPP Organic peaches and HiPP Organic pears from Italy.
