About the variety

HiPP only uses potatoes that are fairly waxy, and makes sure that they have a sufficient amount of dry matter and have a firm peel when they are harvested. Only potatoes with a firm skin have matured naturally. Potatoes need to be harvested very carefully and not when it is wet or cold, since this would increase the risk of damage and diseases such as black spot bruising for the potatoes.
